The Thriving Kids Advisory Group met in Adelaide on 7 November to progress design of a new national model supporting children with developmental delay and disability.

Members explored key components of the model, including universal parenting supports, targeted interventions, and integrated service pathways. The group also discussed workforce challenges and digital tools to improve access and navigation.

A highlight of the day was a briefing from Dr Mike Freelander and Dr Monique Ryan on the Parliamentary Inquiry into Thriving Kids, which has received over 400 submissions. Read the Thriving Kids Advisory Communique.

Thriving Kids is set to launch in July 2026, providing better support for children aged 0-8 with low to moderate support needs. Learn more about Thriving Kids.
