Council of Trade Unions Secretary Melissa Ansell-Bridges has taken New Zealand's pay equity fight to the International Labour Organisation conference in Geneva. Opposition parties say the government should be going much further, much faster in sanctioning Israel. Government ministers did not get advice on what the changes to pay equity would mean for specific claims in their portfolios, ahead of the legislation that would discontinue the claims being introduced. New Zealand's food and fibre export revenue is expected to have reached $59.9b in the year ending June 2025, an increase of 12 percent from the previous year.
