A driver has been caught allegedly drink driving in Hoppers Crossing this morning (17 September), Victoria Police say.
Police intercepted a black Maserati Levant SUV, after it was detected travelling at an alleged 140km/p in a 60km zone on Derrimut Road just after midnight.
The vehicle also is alleged to have driven straight through a red traffic light at the intersection of Derrimut Road and Leakes Road.
The driver, a 36-year-old Caroline Springs man, returned a positive blood alcohol content reading of 0.141
His Maserati was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $923.40 and his license was immediately suspended.
The man is expected to be charged on summons with one count of drink driving and other traffic related offences.
