Toddlers critical after found in backyard pool - Casula

Two toddlers are in a critical condition after being pulled from a backyard swimming pool in Sydney's south west this afternoon.

Just before 2.45pm (Saturday 18 July 2020), emergency services were called to a home on Lakewood Crescent, Casula, following reports two young children were found unresponsive in the pool.

An 18-month-old girl and a 23-month-old boy were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead. They are both reported to be in a critical condition.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
