
A new tourism campaign, featuring the best of Rockhampton region through the eyes of our very own acclaimed singer-songwriter Tom Busby - and his family, is set to inspire a new wave of family travel and position Rockhampton as Queensland's Family Caravan Getaway.
The campaign follows Tom and his family on a recent caravan adventure across the Rockhampton Region, uncovering hidden gems, iconic experiences, and the warm hospitality that makes Rocky a must-visit destination.
The tourism campaign, created through Rockhampton Regional Council's economic development and tourism arm, Advance Rockhampton, is set to launch in January, aligned with Tourism and Events Queensland's drive tourism priorities.
More than 15 million caravan and camping trips are taken across Australia every year, with families representing 35 per cent of that market.
Caravan tourism contributes more than $9.2 billion in regional spending each year, with 90% of caravan nights spent in regional Australia making it one of the most valuable and fast-growing segments in domestic travel.
The campaign shows Rockhampton is the perfect place to welcome a new generation of road-tripping explorers.
