Sunshine Coast Council has revealed our region's top pet names - and some more unusual choices - to promote the annual registration renewal deadline, this September 30.
Not an easy task given there are more than 66,000 registered cats and dogs in our furry part of the world.
Stand-out dog names included Basil Albatross Piccaninny, Boo Boo Nasty, Albus Dumbledore, Albie Dumbledog, Chai Latte, Elvenhome Moonlite Sonata and Grommet (pictured above).
Some owners went for more regal titles like Duke Augustine and Sir Waddlesworth.
Cat names also produced some crackers, including Strepsil, Schrodinger, Bill Murray and Benito Burrito.
Whatever you call your best mate - make sure their rego is up to date!
