Townsville to host Champions Cup game

Townsville City Council is proud to partner with the Queensland Government and TEG Live to bring world-class soccer to Queensland Country Bank Stadium in July.

English Premier League side Crystal Palace FC will take on the Brisbane Roar FC at the stadium on July 11 as part of the inaugural EVA Air Queensland Champions Cup.

The announcement of the game comes hot on the heels of the recent announcement of the international rugby double-header on July 18.

Queensland Country Bank Stadium is a world-class facility and Townsville City Council is determined that, in addition to our much-loved North Queensland Cowboys home games, it will host a variety of world-class events.

Council will continue to work with its partners to ensure more high-quality content for the stadium.
