TRA Begins First Expiry Review on Rainbow Trout Imports

The TRA has opened a new expiry review into imports of certain rainbow trout from Turkey. Businesses affected can register their interest by 6 February 2026.

The Trade Remedies Authority has today (22 January 2026) initiated an expiry review into an existing measure, on imports of certain rainbow trout from Turkey. The TRA will investigate whether subsidisation of the imports is likely to continue or recur and if injury caused to the UK industry by the subsidised imports is likely to continue or recur if the measure were to expire. This investigation is in response to an application from the British Trout Association.

This is the first UK expiry review and it relates to the countervailing measure TS0002 on certain rainbow trout from Turkey. The TRA has assessed the application and considers that there is sufficient evidence to initiate a review.
