A man was arrested this evening on a farming property near Port Lincoln after allegedly stealing a tractor.
About 6.20pm on Friday 19 June, police responded to reports of the theft of a tractor at a Wangary property. Farm personnel had allegedly apprehended the suspect and detained him until patrols arrived at the scene.
It will be alleged the man had entered onto the property and stolen a John Deere 8830 tractor. He was spotted by staff who blocked the tractor's path with a ute and alerted police.
The 45-year-old Coffin Bay was arrested and charged with being unlawfully on premises and illegal use of a motor vehicle.
He was bailed to appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court on 22 July.
