Police are continuing their investigations after a serious traffic crash at Mermaid Waters overnight, Queensland Police say.
Shortly after 7pm police were called to Gretel Drive after reports of a car crashing into a car and a four wheel drive that were unoccupied and parked on the side of the road.
On arrival police located the male driver unconscious inside the vehicle.
He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The 37-year-old driver from Mermaid Waters was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
A quantity of drugs was also allegedly located within the vehicle.
