Traffic Crash Appeal At Mount Isa

Police are appealing for information, including anyone with dash camera or CCTV footage, following a traffic crash north of Mount Isa on 9 April.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 5:30pm, a blue Nissan Navara was travelling southbound on the Barkly Highway between Camooweal and Mount Isa when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled.

A 47-year-old Mount Isa man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained significant injuries and was transported to hospital in a critical but stable condition.

The driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old Mornington woman, also sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital.

Two other passengers in the vehicle, a 50-year-old Murray Downs woman, and a 32-year-old Pioneer woman sustained minor injuries.

Police are appealing to any residents or drivers in the vicinity of Barkly Highway with CCTV footage or dash camera vision leading up to this incident to contact police.
