Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious traffic crash at Rollingstone yesterday, 16 December.

About 11.50am, a white Isuzu Pantech truck collided with a white and red semi-trailer on the Bruce Highway approximately 50km northwest of Townsville, outside a roadside fruit stall.

The 61-year-old male driver of the Isuzu sustained serious leg injuries and was airlifted to Townsville University Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police are appealing to anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage to come forward.

In particular, police would like to hear from the driver of a white vehicle that was seen stopping at the fruit stall when the crash occurred.
