Traffic Crash Appeal, Limestone Creek

Police are appealing for witnesses following a single-vehicle traffic crash between Rockhampton and Yeppoon on 12 May.

Around 8am, police and emergency services responded to reports that a white Nissan Navara heading eastbound had left the roadway and struck a road sign along Yeppoon Road between Access 7 and Capricorn Road near Limestone Creek.

The 29-year-old male driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries and was transported to Yeppoon Hospital.

The driver from Berserker was charged with eight offences, including one count each of driving unlicenced, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an uninsured vehicle, using vehicle for which a number plate attached given granted for another vehicle, driving U.I.L., unlawful possession of weapon (rifle), authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), and receiving tainted property.

He is due to reappear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 20 May.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant information or vision of the incident to come forward.
