Police are investigating after a serious crash on the Kuranda range this morning, Queensland Police say.
Around 6am, a semi-trailer and a van collided and both crashed down an embankment.
Both drivers have been removed from their vehicles and have been transported to the Cairns Base Hospital with unknown injuries.
The range remains closed to allow vehicle recovery operations, however some partial releases of traffic are occurring periodically.
