Traffic stop leads to arrest at Henley Beach, SA

A man has been arrested after patrols located a spear gun and drugs in his car at Henley Beach, according to SA Police.

Just after 2.30am, Wednesday 16 August, patrols stopped a Holden Utility on Grange Road. When speaking to the driver they saw an ice pipe in the car. After a subsequent search they located some Methamphetamine and a spear gun. The driver was also searched and a knife was located up his sleeve.

The 55 year-old man from Surrey Downs was charged with aggravated possessing a prohibited weapon, trafficking a controlled drug and driving disqualified. He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
