A new online tool from Jobs and Skills Australia is making it easier than ever to identify the career you want and how to get there.
The Training to Occupation Pathways dataset (TOP) allows users to see different occupations linked to a broad range of VET qualifications or to identify the qualifications needed for specific occupations.
JSA Deputy Commissioner Trevor Gauld said TOP is a fantastic resource whether you're planning a career change or considering options for the future.
"We want Australians to understand the power of a VET qualification to place you in the career of your dreams," Deputy Commissioner Gauld said.
"TOP is a data driven mapping tool, supporting everyone from individuals to career practitioners identify how qualifications may be used to build on existing skills and experience or which training courses make you job-ready straight away.
In additional to supporting individuals, TOP provides clear and accessible data to inform workplace planning.
"Whether you're interested in the building industry or passionate about the creative arts, Jobs and Skills Australia has the data to help you pursue your passion."
The first release of TOP will continue to be refined in collaboration with stakeholders, and as qualifications evolve and in response to feedback or identified use cases.
The launch of TOP is another addition to JSA's range of analytical tools that allow users to better understand pathways to work and support workforce planning.
