The Allan Labor Government is powering ahead with works to cut congestion and make life easier for families.
On the Frankston Line, two more level crossings will be gone for good at McDonald Street in Mordialloc and Station Street in Aspendale - with the new Mordialloc Station set to officially open to passengers on 21 May.
While crews finish the new station and rail bridges, buses will replace trains on sections of the Frankston Line from 30 April to 21 May.
88 level crossings are already gone and major progress continues in Melton, Truganina, Dandenong, Altona and Newport.
Buses will replace trains on sections of the Werribee and Williamstown lines between Newport and Werribee from the evening of Friday, 10 April to first service on Saturday, 25 April to remove the Maddox Road level crossing.
Hopkins Road in Truganina will close at the level crossing for three weeks from late April to mid-May to build the new road bridge.
With the Metro Tunnel and West Gate Tunnel now open, focus turns to the North East Link which is building twin tunnels from Watsonia to Bulleen.
There will be overnight and weekend closures on sections of the Eastern Freeway, including between Doncaster and Bulleen roads for one weekend in late March.
Bulleen Road will also have a southbound closure for up to two weeks in April between Bridge Street and Manningham Road.
Construction is ramping up on the Suburban Rail Loop between Cheltenham and Box Hill with the arrival of tunnel boring machines at Burwood and Heatherton.
As works commence on the new, underground SRL station at Cheltenham, there will be lane closures on Bay Road in Cheltenham between May and August.
In the east, Clyde Road in Berwick will have ramp closures in April and May while crews widen the bridge over the Princes Freeway.
Ferntree Gully Road will be reduced to one lane each way at Henderson Road from March for upgrades.
In the west, the Point Cook Road bridge above the Princes Freeway will close from mid-April to mid-year as the roundabout is replaced with traffic lights to improve safety and cut travel times. Detours will be in place.
Works will also continue on Peninsula Link over Autumn.
In April, Bridge Road in Richmond will close for one weekend between Punt Road and Church Street while the shared tram zone is resurfaced.
In early May, major tram works will close the intersection of Flinders and Swanston streets and shut St Kilda Road between Flinders Street and Southbank Boulevard as infrastructure is replaced.
In regional Victoria, coaches will replace trains on the Maryborough Line from 25 April to 21 May to complete the Murray Basin Rail Project.
Coaches will also replace trains on sections of the Geelong, Warrnambool, Seymour and Shepparton lines in April and May for maintenance, upgrades and works at Warrnambool Station.
