Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) this week endorsed the Priority Development Area (PDA) Submissions Report and agreed to proceed with proposed amendments to the Toowoomba Railway Parklands PDA Development Scheme.
Council's Planning and Development Committee last week recommended endorsing the updates to the Development Scheme.
TRC Strategic Planning and Economic Development portfolio leader Cr Anne Glasheen said the Committee's recommendations would align terminology in the development scheme with the Economic Development Act 2012.
"Changes to the Economic Development Act have added new terms to the planning framework since the Toowoomba Railway Parklands PDA Development Scheme came into effect in January 2016," Cr Glasheen said.
