TRC calls for feedback to shape Region's future growth

Toowoomba Region residents and businesses are invited to have their say on how the Region plans to grow over the next 30 years to support an additional 55,000 residents and 18,000 new homes.

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) Planning and Development Committee chair Cr Megan O'Hara Sullivan said Council invited residents to attend drop-in sessions at venues across the Region starting from Monday, October 25. (*See schedule below and online feedback option)

Cr O'Hara Sullivan said consultation on the Region's Growth Plan marked the next stage of public feedback under Council's long-term planning program, Toowoomba Region Futures.

"Our Toowoomba Region Futures program is designed to help shape growth and development in our Region for the next 30 years," Cr O'Hara Sullivan said.

TRC Planning and Development Committee portfolio leader Cr Bill Cahill said Council had released two potential growth options for the community to consider.

"Council has worked hard to develop two growth options that align with the community's values and to respond to the concerns and priorities in relation to growth, identified during community consultation in March 2021," Cr Cahill said.
