Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) has convened a Special Meeting of Council to appoint the organisation's new Chief Executive Officer following an extensive national and international search.
A notice for the Special Meeting has been issued to be held next Wednesday 28 May from 11am at the City Hall Chambers.
Toowoomba Region Mayor Cr Geoff McDonald said Councillors had been through a thorough process to select the preferred candidate.
"The CEO position is the only position in the organisation appointed by Councillors, and as such, the position can only be finalised by way of Council resolution which will likely occur on Wednesday," Mayor McDonald said.
"I'm pleased with the process Councillors have undertaken and look forward to welcoming our Region's new organisational leader."
