Murrindindi Shire Council will soon undertake tree removal works near 37 Melbourne Road, Yea.
An assessment identified that the tree's root system has lifted the adjacent kerb and road surface. The tree will be removed to enable repairs and address safety concerns for road users.
Appropriate wildlife management measures will be undertaken before works commence to ensure any fauna that may be present is managed in accordance with relevant requirements.
Residents may notice contractors, machinery and temporary traffic management in the area while works are underway.
Council appreciates the community's patience and understanding as these important maintenance works are completed.
