Trees For Dad 2025: Bayside

Bayside Council's Trees for Dad event on Sunday 7 September gives residents the opportunity to celebrate their dad, or a father they would like to recognise, by planting a native tree.

This is a great way to acknowledge a father figure or serve as a living memorial for fathers who have passed, while helping to increase Bayside's tree canopy.

Council will host three Trees for Dad sessions at Rowland Park, Daceyville on Sunday 7 September.

Participants will be able to register for their preferred session. Session One is from 10-11am, Session Two is from 11am-12pm and Session Three runs from 12-1pm.

This is a free event, but registration is essential.

Planting equipment will be provided, and Council staff will be on hand to assist with the planting. Remember to wear suitable clothing, closed-toe shoes, a hat and sunscreen.

All the trees are supplied by the Bayside Garden Centre, a joint venture between Bayside Council and the Intellectual Disability Foundation of St. George.

The Bayside Garden Centre is open to the public and has approximately 80,000 plants, ranging from annuals to advanced trees, available for sale.
