Trio arrested after aggravated burglaries in Flemington and Keilor Lodge

Police have arrested three youths after two aggravated burglaries where cars were stolen in Flemington and Keilor Lodge this morning.

It is alleged three offenders forced entry to a house on Duncan Street, Flemington about 6.15am.

The youths stole handbags, mobile phones and the victim's white Toyota sedan.

The victim, a 43-year-old man, suffered minor injuries after a struggle took place with one of the offenders.

The offenders fled in the white Toyota sedan and a dark sedan.

Shortly after, it is alleged three offenders forced their way into a Malibu Grove home in Keilor Lodge just after 7am.

The offenders attempted to steal the 21-year-old victim's car however the victim and another 24-year-old man at the property fought off the offenders.

The offenders fled in an alleged stolen vehicle that was outside the property and struck the victim as they sped off. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police sighted the vehicle stationary in Kensei Street, Kurunjang.

Members attempted to intercept the vehicle however the driver drove off and failed to stop for police.

A pursuit was initiated and the offenders crashed the alleged stolen vehicle at the intersection of Federation Drive and Melton Valley Drive, Melton

The three offenders fled the car and were arrested a short time later in High Street, Melton about 8.30am.

A 17-year-old and two 16-year-old Wyndham Vale boys are currently in custody, assisting police with their enquiries.

The trio are also to be interviewed for multiple other incidents that have occurred over the past week across the Melbourne and Geelong areas.
