Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested three men following a 10-month investigation into a series of commercial burglaries.
Police will allege the trio were part of a syndicate that stole approximately one million dollars' worth of items from commercial businesses in multiple suburbs across the metropolitan area between March and October 2025.
Investigators executed search warrants at residential properties in Albanvale, Cairnlea and Hoppers Crossing yesterday.
Officers located and seized a number of items from the properties, including three firearms, around 2kg of cannabis and 30g of methylamphetamines.
Detectives also located two allegedly stolen vehicles, along with a large amount of stolen property.
A 26-year-old Cairnlea man has been charged with burglary (x5), theft (x5), theft of motor vehicle (x2), possess firearm, possess ammunition, possess cannabis and possess methylamphetamine.
He was remanded to appear before Sunshine Magistrates' Court later today (24 October).
A 43-year-old Albanvale man has been charged with burglary (x4), theft (x4), theft of motor vehicle, possess imitation firearm, possess prohibited weapons, possess cannabis and possess methylamphetamine.
A 29-year-old Hoppers Crossing man has been charged with burglary (x4), theft (x4) and possess cannabis.
They were both bailed to appear before Wyndham Magistrates' Court on 17 April, 2026.
The investigation remains ongoing.
