Trio arrested after stabbing in Cranbourne West

Officers from the Southern Metro Fugitive Team and Casey Crime Investigation Unit arrested three people yesterday in relation to an alleged stabbing.

It is believed the stabbing occurred at a residence on Breens Road, Cranbourne West about 5.15am yesterday.

The victim, a 38-year-old man was transported to hospital in a serious condition.

Later the same day police arrested three people at a motel on the South Gippsland Highway, Cranbourne.

The trio were taken to a nearby police station where they were interviewed in relation to the alleged stabbing.

A 28-year-old man from Cranbourne has been charged with two counts of intentionally cause serious injury, two counts of recklessly cause serious injury, two counts of theft of motor vehicle and breaching an intervention order.

He has been remanded to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today.

A 31-year-old man from Berwick is expected to be charged on summons for theft of motor vehicle.

An 21-year-old woman from Bairnsdale is expected to charged on summons for assault and theft of motor vehicle.
