Police have charged three men following an investigation into a stolen vehicle and subsequent arson of the vehicle at Southport on 15 March.
It will be alleged that around 12.50am, two people used an accelerant to set fire to a white 2012 Toyota Hilux dual cab utility at a Davenport Street business.
The Hilux was destroyed by the fire.
The Hilux had been reported stolen during a burglary at an address on Possum Court at Logan Village sometime between 11.50pm on 2 January and 11am on 3 January.
The fire spread to a nearby blue 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara station wagon and business shade-sail awning, which also both sustained damage.
It will be alleged that the pair, and a male driver, then fled northbound on Davenport Street in a white 2020 Holden Trax SUV which was not reported stolen.
Police attended Davenport Street and declared a crime-scene.
Following investigations, detectives executed a search warrant on 26 March at an address on Cramp Street at Goodna where a 27-year-old Goodna man was arrested.
On 28 March, detectives executed a second search warrant at an address on Delaway Street at Chambers Flat where the white 2020 Holden Trax, which allegedly belongs to a 37-year-old Chambers Flat man, was located and he was arrested.
Yesterday, 31 March, a third search warrant was executed at an address on Hayden Street at Riverview where detectives located a 19-year-old Riverview man with significant burns to his face and body.
Police will allege that the 27-year-old man, and 19-year-old man lit the fire.
The 37-year-old Chambers Flat man, 27-year-old Goodna man and 19-year-old Riverview man were each charged with three counts of arson, two counts of attempted arson and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The 37-year-old Chambers Flat man and the 27-year-old Goodna man have both been remanded in custody and scheduled to reappear at the Southport Magistrates Court on 9 April.
