Trio Charged in Central Coast Kidnapping, Robbery, Wound

Three teenagers have been charged after a boy was seriously injured following an alleged kidnapping incident on the Central Coast.

About 6.45am on Sunday 8 March 2026, emergency services were called to the carpark of a shopping centre in Woy Woy following reports a teenage boy had been located suffering a range of injuries.

Following inquiries, police established that the boy had allegedly been assaulted by a group of teenagers over a period of approximately 50 minutes.

The assault allegedly occurred at multiple locations in Woy Woy, and the boy allegedly had his backpack, laptop and mobile phone stolen.

The 17-year-old boy was taken to Gosford Hospital for the treatment of lacerations and bruising to his face, head and body.

Detectives attached to Brisbane Water Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident.

At Gosford Police Station on Tuesday 10 March 2026, two 14-year-old girls were each charged with kidnap in company with intent to commit serious indictable offence – occasion actual bodily harm, aggravated robbery with wounding/grievous bodily harm, and reckless wounding – in company.

One of the girls was also charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic).

They were both refused bail to appear before a children's court on Tuesday 10 March 2026, where they were formally refused bail to appear before a children's court on Friday 20 March 2026.

About 1.50pm yesterday (Wednesday 11 March 2026), a 13-year-old boy was arrested at Gosford Police Station and charged with kidnap in company with intent to commit serious indictable offence – occasion actual bodily harm, aggravated robbery with wounding/grievous bodily harm, and reckless wounding – in company.

He was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Thursday 12 March 2026), where he was formally refused bail to appear before a children's court on Friday 8 May 2026.

Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
