Truck driver caught four times legal limit - Glendenning

A man will appear in court next month after allegedly driving whilst four times the legal limit and being involved in a crash in Sydney's west today.

About 12.10pm (Monday 9 May 2022), officers attached to Mt Druitt Highway Patrol Command attended Glendenning Road, Glendenning, after reports of a collision between a B-double and utility.

The driver of the B-Double, a 32-year-old man, participated in a roadside breath test, allegedly returning a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Mt Druitt Police Station where a subsequent breath analysis allegedly returned a reading of 0.203.

The driver of the utility, a 52-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital.

The truck driver, from Glendenning, was issued a Court Attendance Notice for high-range PCA and is due to appear in Mount Druitt Local Court on Monday 6 June 2022.

His licence was also suspended, and his vehicle was issued a defect notice.
