Truck driver evades police in Long Gully

Bendigo police are appealing for public assistance and are searching for a stolen truck that failed to pull over for police in Long Gully yesterday.

Police have been told a white 2018 Hino tipper truck, registration 1MN 5CR was stolen from a nature strip on Lower Beckhams Road in Maiden Gully just after midday.

The truck, with 'Outdoor Edge landscapes' signage on both doors contained the victim's wallet and tools.

The stolen truck was later spotted by police travelling west on Havilah Road in Long Gully just after 11pm.

Police attempted to intercept the truck, but the driver failed to pull over and no pursuit was initiated.

Investigators have released an image of the stolen truck in the hope someone knows of its current whereabouts.

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have dash-cam footage and was in the area at the time.
