Trump wins Washington State Republican primary with 76% votes

Presumed US Republican Party nominee Donald Trump edged closer to clinching the nomination with 76 percent of the vote so far in the northwestern US state of Washington, national media reported.

With slightly over half of the 2,000 precincts reporting, Trump secured most of the state’s 44 delegates on his way to gain 1,237 delegates nationwide, the CNN broadcaster said late Tuesday.

On Monday, a poll conducted by Real Clear Politics (RCP) showed presumptive Republican nominee Donald J. Trump ahead of Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in the national polling average for the first time.
