Tune in: Keep your phone safe when you're out and about

Feel like the world would end if you didn't have your phone?

Tune into these safety tips to keep your mobile safe

  • Mobile phones can be distracting. If you are using your phone in public, be sure to stay aware of what's going on around you.
  • Keep your phone out of sight or secured in a pocket or bag when in public places.
  • Ensure you have a PIN, pattern or biometric lock on your device (including a smart watch).
  • Never store personal or sensitive information on your device such as passwords or bank information.
  • Anti-theft apps like 'Find my Phone' can assist police in retrieving your device if stolen.
  • Keep a record of your phone's serial number or a photo for proof of ownership if your phone is ever stolen or goes missing.

Lock your phone and keep it out of sight when not in use
