TURBOcharging Tourism: Red CentreNATS Returns to Alice Springs This Weekend

Hundreds of cars and their entourages have arrived in Alice Springs this week from all over Australia to celebrate all things wheels at the 2018 Red CentreNATS event this Fathers Day weekend.

Action commences tonight at the Alice Springs Inland Dragway and continues across the weekend at three venues across Alice Springs.

As part of the Territory Labor Governments record $103 million Turbocharging Tourism stimulus program, $650,000 has been invested to upgrade the Alice Springs Inland Dragway. This upgrade will see a new Burnout Pad, improved fencing and facilities that enhance the spectator experience and safety for both the burnouts and drag racing competitions which in addition will attract more events and visitors to the Territory.

This years entertainment program is bigger than ever with Saturday night Rock N Rumble concert featuring ARIA award winning national act The Veronicas supported by Dr Elephant.

In addition, the Podium Party on Sunday night is now an expanded event at Blatherskite Park with all ticket holders and entrants invited to attend the presentations, music and entertainment. Matt Mingay and his Hot Wheels Stuntz team and an expanded Fathers Day program also provide a weekend of entertainment for all the family.

A 3-day Chrome Pass to access everything across the weekend remains great value at $50, with day passes also available and all children 13 and under free.
