Twenty-one Buildings Receive Assistance Funding

Twenty-one Hawkesbury heritage buildings will share in $100,000 in Local Heritage Assistance Funding in the 2025/2026 financial year to assist with maintenance and restoration of some of our most treasured historic buildings.

The program recognises that heritage-sensitive restorations and repairs can be costly, and supports applicants by generally paying 50% of repair costs on a dollar-for-dollar basis.

The buildings include privately owned homes, slab barns and other significant local buildings, and are located in Pitt Town (5), Richmond (3), Windsor (3), and Wilberforce, Richmond Lowlands, Ebenezer, Kurmond, Wrights Creek, St Albans, Agnes Banks, Pitt Town Bottoms and McGraths Hill.

All successful applicants will be required to work with Council to ensure the works are carried out and funding spent according to the appropriate guidelines.
