Two arrested after alleged luxury car theft

Police have charged two men following the theft of a luxury vehicle from Doncaster this morning, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told one man allegedly broke into a garage on The Boulevarde and took the car about 8.30am. He later picked up another man.

There were numerous sightings of the car as it travelled south, with police eventually tracking the car to Chesterville Road, Cheltenham, about 9.30am.

The car had crashed into a pole and the men had fled on foot.

The men, both 18-year-olds from Pakenham, were soon arrested.

One man was charged with burglary, theft of motor vehicle and dangerous driving related offences.

The other man was charged with theft of motor vehicle.

Both will appear in Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on 19 May.
