Two arrested, charged with aggravated break, enter and steal, NSW

Police have arrested and charged two people with break, enter and steal offences in Lake Macquarie today, NSW Police say.

About 1am today, a man and a woman in a vehicle were seen driving on Royalty Street, West Wallsend with the car’s headlights off.

The pair was seen entering three properties that were under construction, allegedly removing items from the properties and putting them in the vehicle.

Police stopped the maroon Toyota Corolla and searched the vehicle.

Police will allege stolen property was located in the vehicle as well as house breaking tools and a knife.

The 43-year-old man and the 25-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Toronto Police Station where they were charged with aggravated break and enter, goods in custody, possess house breaking implements and custody of a knife.

They were bail refused to appear at Toronto Local Court today 24 May 2017.
