Two arrested following crash, NSW

Two men have been arrested after leading police on a pursuit before crashing at Neutral Bay, NSW Police say.

About 4.40am today, police initiated a pursuit in Woolloomooloo after observing a blue Mitsubishi Magna with Victorian registration plates allegedly travelling at speeds of up to 180km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

The pursuit was terminated two minutes later due to safety concerns.

Police later received reports that the Mitsubishi had crashed on the on-ramp to the Warringah Expressway, northbound at Neutral Bay.

Three people were seen fleeing the area; one of them jumped over the concrete wall and was injured.

Another was arrested close by and taken to Surry Hills Police Station where he is assisting police. A third person remains at large.

The injured man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital to be assessed for his injuries.

Investigations are continuing and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
