Two arrested following investigations into break and enter and fraud offences, NSW

Two people have been arrested following investigations into break and enter and fraud offences throughout Inner West, NSW Police say.

During the months of April and May a number of aggravated break and enter offences were committed in Lilyfield where personal items and documents were stolen.

Credit cards stolen during these incidents were subsequently used in Leichhardt, Glebe, Surry Hills and Redfern.

Police attached to Leichhardt Local Area Command commenced inquiries into the incidents.

About 11.40pm yesterday, a 30-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were arrested on Glebe Point Road, Glebe.

They were taken to Newtown Police Station where they were both charged with several counts of break and enter as well as dishonestly obtain property by deception.

Both were refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
