Two arrested following St Albans firearms incident

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man and a woman following an alleged firearms incident in St Albans last month, Victoria Police say.

Police attended the vicinity of Harmon Avenue and Milton Avenue following reports of gunshots about 1.45am on 23 June.

It is alleged a man was delivering a pizza to an address on Harmon Avenue when a number of shots were fired at a resident of the property.

The resident, a 37-year-old St Albans man, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The pizza delivery man was unharmed.

Police this morning arrested a 32-year-old man in St Kilda and a 34-year-old woman in Sunbury.

The pair, both from Sunbury, have been charged with home invasion, reckless conduct endangering life, common law assault and firearms offences.

They have been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
