Two boys arrested after school break-ins, SA

Police have arrested two teenagers after they broke into two southern suburbs schools this mornin, according to SA Policeg

Just after 4.30am (Wednesday 22 February) police were called to Monarch Street after reports of an alarm activation.

Then, just before 5am, police were called to another Morphett Vale primary school on Vanstone Avenue after reports of several alarm activations.

Patrols set up cordons around the school and located two juveniles near-by.

Police will allege numerous buildings were broken into within both schools and extensive damage done to the buildings and items within the schools. A fire was also lit outside a class room on Vanstone Avenue.

Two 17-year-old boys from Morphett Vale have been arrested and are expected to be charged with two counts of aggravated serious criminal trespass and arson.

They are expected to be refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Youth Magistrates Court later today.
