Two men have been charged after a break and enter and a pursuit in Maroubra, NSW Police say.
Police have been told about 4am (14 August 2017), a 26-year-old man forced entry into a home on Maroubra Road and demanded cash before leaving the location.
In a second incident, police have been told about 3.30pm yesterday, the same 26-year-old attempted to speak to the resident, a 28-year-old man, of the Maroubra Road home again.
The 28-year-old man declined to speak to the 26-year-old man and contacted police.
Officers from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command attended the location as the 26-year-old man was leaving as a passenger in a Mitsubishi Lancer.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle. When the driver alleged failed to stop, a pursuit ensued.
A short time later on Anzac Parade, near Boyce Road, the 26-year-old man and the driver ran from the car and fled on foot.
Both men were arrested nearby.
The driver, a 36-year-old man, was searched and police allegedly located an amount of white powder, believed to be cocaine.
They were both taken to Maroubra Police Station.
The 26-year-old man has been charged with aggravated break and enter - commit serious indictable offence and intimidation.
The 36-year-old man has been charged with police pursuit – drive dangerously, drive in manger dangerous and supply prohibited drug.
They were both given conditional bail and will appear before Waverley Local Court on Wednesday 13 September 2017.
