Two charged after break and enters across Cumberland and Fairfield PACs, NSW

A man and woman have been charged after several alleged break and enters across Sydney’s west. , NSW Police say

Police will allege in court just before 4.30am on Friday 6 April 2018, a man forced entry into a fast food outlet on Woodville Road, Guildford, stealing a charity box.

It will be further alleged, just after 1am on Monday 9 April 2018, a man broke into a shopping centre on Lane Street, Wentworthville, before he entered a restaurant within the centre and removed the till and tip jar.

The man was seen to enter the passenger side of a black Hyundai Getz and flee the scene.

A short time later, another fast food outlet on Sherwood Road, Merrylands was allegedly broken into, with a number of items including cash and the till being taken from the store.

It will be alleged a black Hyunda Getz was also seen in the area at the time of the break in.

Just before 2.30am on Monday 12 April, a restaurant within a shopping centre on Lane Street, Wentworthville, was broken into.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the break and enters.

Following inquiries, just before 5pm on Thursday 12 April 2018, a 38-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were arrested at a unit complex on Eddy Street, Merrylands.

They were both taken to Granville Police Station where the man was charged with five counts of break and enter. The woman was charged with two counts of owner not disclose identity of driver/passenger, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period and break and enter.

Both were refused bail and are due to appear at Fairfield Local Court today (Friday 13 April 2018).
