Two charged after break and enters in Lake Illawarra

Two men have been charged following a number of break and enters in Lake Illawarra this morning, NSW Police say.

Between 1.30am and 4.30am today (Monday 26 March 2018), it is alleged two men broke into a number of businesses located on King Street, Warrawong and Addison Street, Shellharbour.

Police will further allege cash was stolen from each of the businesses.

Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District launched an investigation into the incidents.

Following inquiries, police arrested two men at a home on Northcliffe Drive, Lake Heights, about 5am.

A 25-year-old man was charged with break and enter (x3) and face disguised with intent to commit indictable offence.

A 29-year-old man was charged with accessory after the fact to break, enter and steal and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

Both men were refused bail and will appear at Wollongong Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 27 March 2018).
