Two charged after drugs and firearm seized in Warilla

A man and woman have been charged after a search warrant in September last year allegedly uncovered drugs, ammunition, and a firearm, NSW Police say.

On Thursday 22 September 2016, police from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Trumper Street, Warilla, after an investigation into firearm and drug offences.

During the search warrant, police allegedly located and seized a small amount of prohibited drugs, drug paraphernalia, ammunition, and a twelve gauge shotgun.

On Wednesday 18 January 2017, a 25-year-old man was charged at Wollongong Police Station with possess unregistered firearm, and possess unauthorised firearm.

He was refused bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Thursday 19 January 2017.

About 3.30pm on Sunday (22 January 2017), a 25-year-old woman was arrested in Shellharbour.

She was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station and charged with possess unregistered firearm, and possess unauthorised firearm.

She was refused bail to appear at Port Kembla Local Court tomorrow.
