Two charged after woman assaulted during bag snatch in Wollongong

A teenager and a boy have been charged after a woman was allegedly assaulted during a bag snatch in Wollongong, NSW Police say.

Just after 2pm yesterday (Wednesday 4 July 2018), a 69-year-old woman and her husband were walking along Keira Street, Wollongong, when two males allegedly approached her from behind and grabbed her bag.

The woman attempted to hold onto her bag and was allegedly pulled to the ground by one of the males, before they fled the scene.
