Two charged following Euroa hoon incident

Benalla Highway Patrol members have charged two men after a vehicle was allegedly filmed doing a burnout while being towed on a trailer near Euroa last year, Victoria Police say.

The incident is alleged to have occurred on the Hume Freeway on 19 September, 2017.

A 19-year-old Patterson Lakes man has been charged with two counts of reckless conduct endangering persons and a number of traffic-related offences.

It’s alleged he was driving alongside the towed vehicle in the emergency lane, filming the incident.

A 28-year-old Carrum Downs man has been charged with two counts of reckless conduct endangering persons

It’s alleged he was the passenger in the vehicle doing a burnout.

Both men will appear in Benalla Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Police are still investigating to determine who was driving the car doing the burnout and the van towing the trailer.
