Two charged following investigation into drug supply in Maroubra

Two men have been charged after police seized drugs and cash following the execution of a search warrant in Maroubra yesterday, NSW Police say.

In June 2016, officers from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command established Strike Force Otton to investigate the supply of drugs in the area.

About 3pm yesterday today, following investigations, officers from Strike Force Otton arrested a 27-year-old man on Todman Avenue, Kensington, and another 27-year-old man on Fitzgerald Avenue, Maroubra.

Both men were taken to Maroubra Police Station.

Following their arrest, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Fitzgerald Avenue and searched a car nearby.

In the home, officers allegedly found an amount of cash and drug equipment. In the car, officers allegedly found an amount of drugs believed to be cocaine, and a large number of tablets, believed to be ecstasy.

All items were seized and will undergo forensic examinations.

The men were each charged with; supply large commercial quantity of drugs, supply commercial quantity of drugs, supply indictable quantity of drugs (x2), and deal with proceeds of crime.

They were refused bail and are due to appear at Waverley Local Court today tomorrow.
