Two Charged in Eastgardens Shopping Centre Affray

A woman and teen have been charged after an alleged affray at a shopping centre in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs earlier this week.

About 5.30pm on Monday (2 March 2026), emergency services were called to a shopping centre on Bunnerong Road, Eastgardens, following reports of an assault.

On arrival, officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were told two females were involved in an altercation at business inside the centre.

Both females left prior to police arrival.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced.

A short time later, police were called to a hospital in Randwick, where a 15-year-old girl presented with a minor puncture wound to the back.

On Tuesday (3 March 2026), the 15-year-old girl was arrested by police and charged with affray. She is due to appear before a childrens court on Monday 9 March 2026.

Following further inquiries, investigators attended a home in Blacktown today (Friday 6 March 2026), where they arrested a 21-year-old woman.

She was taken to Blacktown Police Station, where she was charged with affray and refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court tomorrow (Saturday 7 March 2026).
