Two people have been charged following two public place shootings and a pursuit in Sydney's south west yesterday.
Just before 7.45am yesterday (Saturday 18 April 2026), police were called to a home on Fairmont Street, Merrylands, after reports of shots fired.
Investigators attached to Task Force Falcon attended and established a crime scene.
Just after 8.15am, police were called to a second home on Woodstock Street, Guildford, after reports of shots fired.
Officers attached to Task Force Falcon attended and established a crime scene.
There have been no reports of any injuries.
Shortly after, responding police observed a black SUV travelling on Woodville Road, Merrylands.
The vehicle allegedly failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated, travelling through local streets before being terminated.
The vehicle was found abandoned on Alexander Street, Fairfield, and following a search of the area, a 17-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man were arrested and taken to Cabramatta Police Station.
Following a subsequent search, police allegedly located and seized firearms and two jerry cans.
A stolen white SUV was also located on Portadown Road, Constitution Hill.
Both vehicles were seized to undergo forensic examination.
Following inquiries by investigators attached to Task Force Falcon a search warrant was executed at a home on Percy Street, Fairfield, where police seized multiple items.
The 17-year-old boy and the 21-year-old man were charged with:
- Three counts of possess unauthorised pistol
- Fire firearm at dwelling-house disregard for safety
- Face blackened/disguised with intent commit indictable offence
- Be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner
- Fire firearm at dwelling etc organised criminal activity
- Participate criminal group contribute criminal activity
The man was also charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously.
The boy was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Sunday 19 April 2026).
