Northern detectives have this evening charged two people with murder following a fatal stabbing in Parua Road, Newnham, last night, Tasmania Police say.
A 32 year old Newnham man and a 39 year old Ravenswood woman were both charged with murder and will appear before the Launceston Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
Police have formally identified the victim of last night’s murder.
The deceased is Aaron Matthew Monaco aged 41 of Newnham. His next of kin have been notified of his death.

The investigation into the matter is still continuing and investigators are interested in hearing from anyone who may have knowledge of the murder or information that might assist the investigation.
