Two Charged With Weapons, Drug Offences in Liverpool

A man and woman will face court today charged with multiple alleged weapon and drug related offences in Sydney's west.

On Monday morning (24 March 2026), officers attached to Bankstown Region Enforcement Squad stopped a vehicle in a unit block carpark on the Hume Highway at Liverpool.

Police spoke with the driver, a 29-year-old man, and during a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers allegedly located and seized ammunition, drugs and electronics.

The man was arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

Following inquiries, just after 12pm that same day, police executed a Firearm Prohibition Order (FPO) compliance check at a unit in the same building.

During a search of the unit, police allegedly located and seized more than 350g of methylamphetamine, a submachine gun, ammunition and electronic devices.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and also taken to Liverpool Police Station.

The man was charged with;

  • possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority,
  • possess unauthorised firearm,
  • firearm etc found at premises-subject to prohibition order
  • custody of knife in public place,
  • supply prohibited drug more than equal to commercial quantity, and
  • possess prohibited drug (two counts).

The woman was charged with supply prohibited drug more than equal to commercial quantity and possess unauthorised firearm.

Both were refused bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court today (Wednesday 25 March 2026).
